More About Bernedoodles!

Size:
Bernedoodles will average out in size between the weights and heights of their parents. Bernese Mountain Dogs measure at 23-28 in and weigh 70-110 lbs. Poodles can vary greatly in measurments depending on whether they are Standard, Miniature, or Toy Poodles. They can measure anywhere from 10-22 in in height and 6-60 lbs in weight. Bernedoodle puppies will generally find that middle ground in size between their parents' heights and weights.
For example, Mini Bernedoodles resulting from a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Miniature Poodle will average between 18-22 in and 25-45 lbs.


Temperament:
As with their size, Bernedoodle temperament is derived from that of both their parents. Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles actually have many similar temperament traits so the temperament of a Bernedoodle is not hard to guess. Both Berners and Poodles are known for their high intelligence and ease in training. Another trait that can be seen in each breed is the tendency toward shyness around new people while their devotion to family is strong. 


Mini Bernedoodles!
When a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Miniature Poodle are crossed, Mini Bernedoodles are the happy result! These dogs are intelligent, affectionate, and playful with low-shedding coats. Mini Bernedoodles are an F1 generation dog meaning they are 50% Bernese and 50% Poodle.
